Product DescriptionPKF is designed to temporarily bypass the Ford PATS passive
anti theft systems (See the list below) when remote starting.
Your Vehicles Transponder Anti-Theft system
There is a small chip in the ignition key called a transponder. When the key is
inserted into the ignition switch it sends a code to the vehicles computer
through a receiver coil mounted to the barrel. Once the computer has identified
it as a valid key, it enables the starter and fuel management systems.

These select 2001 vehicle listed are compatible with "No Key Required" PKF Kit
if the vehicles manufacture date is before July 24, 2000. To verify manufacture
date check the 'Skid Sticker Date' found on the drivers door (Interior frame
end) before ordering or installing the pkf kit). For the vehicles with a
manufacture date after July 24, 2000, the HTBKII kit can be used as a temporary
bypas
